Account Manager – Industry Pharma PRIMARY PURPOSE AND OVERALL OBJECTIVE OF THE JOB: The Account Manager is responsible for achieving the territory sales goals. Main focus are; maintaining and growing the revenues of the current customer base and developing new business opportunities through the placement of instruments and disposables/reagents. CONTEXT OF THE JOB AND MAJOR CHALLENGES: The major challenge is to achieve / exceed the annual sales goals in a highly regulated market where the pressure on cost reduction is constantly present and where there are many factors / stakeholders influencing the decision to purchase. The Industry Account Manager is responsible to visit / cover all Pharma and Blood bank customers in a defined geographical region / territory. DIMENSIONS OF THE JOB Financial dimension: The Account Manager is responsible for the territory financial success. At least 100% of the territory annual sales goals must be achieved while managing the territory within the define expense budget. A territory has between 50-100 accounts for approximatively $2M of annual revenues. Selling and Negotiation skills: Apply excellent selling and negotiation skills with multi stakeholders at different levels of an organisation. May be asked to build and present Business cases / Impact studies to different stakeholders. Product lines: Cover and sell all present Products / Services in microbiology, serology, molecular biology and any other new products / services to be launched in the future. Products can be; instruments, software, disposables / reagents and service.

Specific knowledge

kNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THE JOB: • University degree in Business or Science • Or, College degree in Medical Laboratory Technology • Minimum of 5 years sales experience in a related field (Diagnostics / Medical or B2B equipment slaes) • Computer skills: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Lotus Notes • English written / spoken • • Communication • Achievement Drive / Sales, Expense budget and Projections • Territory Management / Customer Focus • Corporate Goals / Business Acumen Valid Driver License and Passport to travel worldwide.
