The Strategic Account Manager serves as the company’s focal representative to large consolidated Quebec purchasing organizations and distribution channels. The individual is accountable for developing strategic GPO relationships (customer and segment/units and channels) in Quebec, providing strategic RFP direction to Field Sales, and establishing terms and conditions aligned with the company’s legal and strategic requirements.

The Strategic Account Manager will also work closely with the Quebec Regional SAM to support targeted key account coordination, communicate industry trends, network with industry leaders and with MEDEC (QC) to address procurement issues in Quebec.


  1. Attain or exceed annual financial objectives for assigned channels (Net sales revenue, Gross profit, Strategic imperatives, and Expense management)

  2. Assessing financial implications of pricing decisions to customer, affected Segment/Unit and potential implications to other company’s divisions

  3. Create an annual account business plan (elements: financial, RFP calendar, key contacts/influencers, sales and marketing action plans)

  4. Establish metric reports to monitor account compliance to agreement parameter

  5. Serve as focal point of contact

  6. Consult with the Business Analytics group in the development of all financial reviews, contract renewals and contract structures to model account proposals and determine financial impact on the company.

  7. Develop and maintain expert level knowledge of market trends, competitive procurement strategies and work with MEDEC to address procurement issues and shape future procurement policy.

Connaissances spécifiques

  1. Bachelor’s degree, MBA would be considered a strong asset
  2. Fluently bilingual in French and English

  3. Minimum 8 years in healthcare or related industry (medical, diagnostic, etc).

  4. Minimum of 2 years in a similar role

  5. Sales Management and/ or Product Management experience (an asset)
