There currently exists an opportunity for an experienced Key Account Manager to launch an innovative therapy to respirologists for patients. It is a rare and exciting opportunity to get in on the ground-floor of a respirology biopharmaceutical leader as it begins operations in Canada.
Reporting directly to the National Sales Manager, the successful candidate will ensure maximum awareness and sales success of the molecule by accurately identifying the prescribing potential of customers and utilizing strategic selling tactics within their region. This position will also coordinate Clinic and CHE activities within the region, in close team conjunction with a MSL and a field Case manager
Specific knowledge
Minimum 5 yrs experience in specialty/hospital sales in the Canadian biotech/pharmaceutical industry. Experience in respiratory field or oncology will be considered an asset.
• Bachelor degree or higher, in science or business
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work competently in MS Office software programs including Word, Excel and Powerpoint, Salesforce.com systems
• Ability and willingness to travel locally and internationally (30-50% of time)
• Must work well both as an independent contributor and in a team environment;
• Experience in starting up, interacting with and supporting tertiary care disease clinic(s)
• Previous specialty or biotech pharmaceutical product launch experience would be an asset
Other requirements for this position
Demonstrated track record of success and innovation in commercializing specialty products
• Demonstrated understanding of government and 3rd party reimbursement in selected area
• Demonstrated track record of superb customer service
• Experience in working synergistically with Medical Scientific Liaisons and Field Case Managers
• Experience/background in Respirology is preferred
• Strong interpersonal/business planning and organizational skills
• Strong teamwork skills
• Entrepreneurial spirit and a self-starter
• Knowledge of Hospital structure, organization and procedures
