Job Title: Registered Regional Field Nurse, Québec
PURPOSE:
This pivotal role will be responsible to provide an integrated and seamless experience to patients within an assigned territory by providing in home education and injection training as well as on-going follow-up and support via phone.
The Regional Field Nurse will support and develop relationships with healthcare professionals and clinics within the territory to promote the services of patient services support programs.
Patient education and teaching will encompass general disease information, product information, device demonstration and troubleshooting, manual injection, knowledge of side effect management as well as basic reimbursement understanding for identifying patient needs.
A key part of this role will be the ability to build a positive rapport with patients being trained, healthcare professionals, and internal peers.
MAIN INTERFACES:
INTERNAL: Therapeutic Marketing and Sales; Patient Services; Medical Affairs.
EXTERNAL: Patients; Nurses; External Customers; Clinics.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for scheduling education training sessions with patients.
Responsible for working remotely in call centre for assigned shifts.
Responsible for maintaining relationship and support to clinics in territory.
Required to follow company prepared protocols for each training session.
Responsible for completing visit report documents, adverse events, filing complaints and forwarding to head office and prescribing physician.
Charting into patient database required for daily activities on a timely basis and reporting purposes.
Attend and contribute to Patient Services meetings, and sales meetings as required.
Routine rotational pager duty for after-hours emergency calls which may include the office closure between Christmas and New Year's in
Specific knowledge
QUALIFICATIONS:
BScN or College Nursing program diploma.
Fully bilingual in English and French; both written and spoken
PROFESSIONAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
>4 years clinical nursing experience in field and hospital settings.
Provincial Nursing license in good standing
ACLS certification preferred.
Flexible working hours are required for day, evening and occasional weekend work.
40% Travelling requirements - Travelling in the territory assigned. Occasional National travel will also be required for conference, sales meetings, etc.
Excellent time management and prioritization skills. Self motivated with ability to multi-task. Able to work independently and as a team member while based remotely.
Excellent presentation and communication skills.
Proficiency with Motivational Interviewing techniques.
Computer proficiency in MS office Products (Word2000, Excel2000), familiar with Windows, and Lotus Notes (or other email systems). Learning new computer programs/databases will be required.
Clean drivers abstract and must own car.
An appropriate office space (home based) that can accommodate any technical equipment and internet ready.
