Description

Clinical Implementation Specialist Responsible for providing clinical user training and clinical support to customers for both pre-sale and during post-sale clinical implementations. This position is considered an integral part of our sales and implementation process and client’s customer satisfaction directives. Clinical Implementation Specialists are expected to develop significant customer relationships in their assigned accounts and or regional coverage areas, work cooperatively with their assigned sales and implementation team members in the development and execution of account strategies required for successful clinical implementation. Mentoring the various client’s team resources, with focus on the clinical implementation process, best practices, and any other relevant clinical tools that may be applicable. Post Installation clinical contact for customer, and follow up with customer Ongoing support of Sales and Service Teams. Principal Accountabilities: Itemize the separate duties, responsibilities, and expected outcomes of the position. Fully detail each major task or responsibility necessary to effectively perform the position function. The responsibilities are ranked from those with the most crucial deliverables to those which are more routine. The number of tasks or responsibilities listed should not exceed eight. Responsible for leading implementation teams to complete the system project on time and to the customer’s satisfaction. Provide consultation to nurses regarding hardware or software configuration. Ability to assess customer’s simple clinical workflow requirements and make recommendations. Implementation Methodologies: Ability to organize and prioritize clinical work plan based upon implementation deliverables and timelines. Ability to analyze sales orders related to project and determine deficiencies in configuration as it relates to clinical practice requirements. Ability to identify and document sales order accessories and customer specific 3rd party needs required to interface and integrate system into clinical practice. Translate nursing practice information between nurses, project managers, systems engineers and analysts. Develop, implement or evaluate health information technology applications, tools, processes or structures to assist nurses with data management. Analyze technologies to determine applicability to nursing practice, education, administration and research. Read current literature, talk with colleagues, and participate in professional organizations or conferences to keep abreast of developments in IT and Monitoring Technologies. Ability to read, analyze and interpret equipment manuals, general business periodicals or professional journals; the ability to write reports and business correspondence; the ability to effectively present information in one –on-one and group situations to customers and other employees of the organization.

Specific knowledge

Position Requirements: Education: Active RN license required, AS, BSN, MSN or MS Degree preferred. Related Experience: • Minimum 5 years experience in direct patient care in an acute care or intensive care setting, preferably Adult or Neonatal ICU or Coronary Care. • Must be willing and able to work in: Pediatric settings, including NICU, Operating Room, Cath Lab, Emergency Room, as well as intensive care settings such as: Critical Care-ICU, Neuro-ICU, Cardiac-ICU. • Previous experience as clinical educator and/or related experience in mentoring, content delivery or presentation skills.
