In this role, the Director will be responsible for developing the strategic plan for all consumer products in an effort, helped by his or her team, to drive the company forward as a market leader. The successful candidate will be given a great deal of latitude and autonomy in choosing products to launch in Canada and in deciding how these products will be introduced. More specifically, the Director will:

  • Establish the short and long term strategic plan (media, pricing, positioning, etc.)

  • Develop sales strategies, product launches and sales objectives

  • Prepare the budgets required to achieve the objectives

  • Oversee the implementation of the strategies

  • Assess profitability

Specific knowledge

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field
  • Fluently bilingual in English and French (written and spoken)

  • Extensive knowledge of such marketing tools as P&L, AcNielsen, Market Track, IMS

  • Excellent knowledge of the Canadian consumer products market (mandatory)

  • At least five years’ experience as sales director for consumer products (mandatory)

  • At least five years’ experience as marketing director for consumer products (mandatory)

  • Extensive experience in new product launches
