Director, Market Access and Health Economics
Description
Pharmaceutical Leader with an entrepreneurial culture is looking for a Director, Market Access and Health Ecomomics. The position is Montreal based and requires travelling within Canada and Europe (25%).
Main responsibilties:

Manage head office Market Access, Health Economics. Oversee Market Access activities, including development of strategies and submissions to support gaining / maintaining reimbursement for new and existing products with public and private payer drug plans.

Oversee pricing and PMPRB policy and strategy development. Ensure compliance with PMPRB regulations / guidelines as well as internal SOPs.

Liaise with field MA/GA team to support head office team in providing policy makers with customized and relevant clinical and HEOR information.

Assess ongoing national health policy challenges and opportunities as environmental dynamics change

Liaise with Global HEOR and WE&C Market Access to identify opportunities for collaboration in development of new product/new indication ‘core’ value propositions and adapting Global HEOR initiatives for Canada.
Specific knowledge

8 years of relevant experience

In-depth knowledge of Canadian health care system, including role of CADTH / CDR / PMPRB, private and provincial government drug approval processes
- Solid understanding of the new Pan Canadian Purchasing Alliance (PCPA) process and ideally negotiating experience
- Bachelor degree in Science, Commerce
- Pharmacy degree, MBA or Masters of Science is an asset
- Knowledge of key databases: PharmaStat, RxDynamics, IMS/Brogan, clinical trial databases
- Knowledge of modeling (e.g. TreeAge) and statistics
- Bilingual (French & English)
