Manager, Market Access
Description
Developing and leading market access strategies to support gaining / maintaining / optimizing reimbursement for new and existing products with various public and private payers;
Leading market access strategic plan alignment across matrix organization and with external stakeholders, as applicable
Leading market access operational activities (i.e., submission process; environment scans, etc)
Collaborating with local HEOR in planning and coordinating Canadian health economics & outcomes studies to support gaining / maintaining / optimizing reimbursement for new and existing products with various public and private payers; As needed, collaborate with clinical research on studies with economic and quality of life endpoints;
Liaising with Global Market Access & WEC Market Access to leverage Global Value Dossier, market access strategies & payer tools;
Providing analytical & strategic support for the development of pricing strategies in compliance with the Patented Medicines Price Review Board (PMPRB) regulations and in alignment with the Global pricing strategy & payer considerations;
Providing analytical & strategic support for payer negotiation plan/value offering to the pan-Canadian Pricing Alliance (PCPA) negotiation for new and existing products;
Assessing needs and integrating market access &, to some extent, health economics initiatives into brand strategic & tactical plans;
Playing an active role on Brand team(s) to identify opportunities to work collaboratively with cross-functional colleagues to deliver on brand objectives;
Assisting in liaising with consultants, contract research organizations, economic experts, etc. on various health economics & outcomes research projects;
Pharmaceutical Leader with an entrepreneurial culture is looking for a Manager, Market Access. The position is Montreal based.
Specific knowledge
Bachelor Degree in Science or Commerce (Bachelor Degree in Pharmacoeconomic / Pharmacy or HEOR, epidemiology, drug development graduate studies, an asset)
5+ years of experience in a similar position.
The ideal candidate should have pertinent expertise in market access in the pharmaceutical industry, and previous experience dealing directly with payers. Pharmacoeconomic/ outcomes research and health policy experience is an asset.
In-depth knowledge of public and private drug reimbursement in Canada, with previous experience dealing directly with payers
Understanding of pharmacoeconomic principles / guidelines and methodological developments. Experience in development of economic studies in collaboration with internal and external experts, is an asset.
Understanding of PMPRB and pharmaceutical pricing.
