Manufacturing Supervisor
Description
Manage production lines through relationship with team leaders and production operators. Identify & maintain proper staffing to meet production plan Optimize facility and manpower utilization to increase efficiency and capacity Work in conjunction with the planning team to develop and meet production plan , ensure that the lots are completed on time as scheduled Continuously improve tools and techniques for control of manufacturing, quality, reliability and safety Identify and implement cost savings and yield improvements Seamlessly transition of new products into production Ensure adherence to ISO/GMP quality systems Develop effective communication and positive working relationships with other departments thus ensuring a team effort in determining priorities and achieving production goals Establish short and long-range goals and objectives for manufacturing Provide inputs to prepare the yearly budget Control the cost of the manufacturing area to meet the budget Lead in the selection, training, development, motivation and control of staff to meet the production and corporate goals. Adopt and perform lean and six sigma methodologies Responsible for addressing assigned CAPA activities and ensuring that established timelines. Location : Montreal West Island
Specific knowledge
Preferred: BS degree in industrial, manufacturing or engineering discipline Minimum: College degree or equivalence in eng. or production related discipline. 3-8 years experience in supervision related to medical devices, pharmaceutical or Controlled Environment operations Lean manufacturing/lean enterprise experience Knowledge of ISO,GMP,FDA is an asset Multi-shift operations a plus Demonstrated skills in developing processes, training materials and tools Demonstrated experience with ERP system implementation and maintenance (SAP a plus) Demonstrated leadership skills. Ability to build and manage cross-functional teams Experience with Facility management and controlled environment operations a plus. Committed work ethic High degree of independence and enthusiasm Bilingual (French and English) Attention to detail Work in a rapidly changing environment Goal oriented Work with minimum information and supervision
