Medical Information Associate
Description
The primary responsibility of the Medical Information Associate is to develop responses as needed to scientific/medical requests for information on the company products from health care professionals, patients and other Bayer departments. The position will also provide regular reports on responses to supervisor and Business Units, literature reviewed/sourced and Standard Responses preparation previous to a product launch or as needed. The Associate also participates in training on products, review of training material and cross-functional meetings as required. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF POSITION: - Respond to and document requests with regard to scientific/medical queries from health care professionals, patients, and other departments within the company and other external customers. Prepare scientific literature reviews upon request. Prepare literature reviews on Bayer products upon request. - Prepare medical information on assigned marketed prescriptions products. Prepare Standard Responses on frequently asked medical information questions as assigned prior to launch of a drug or as required. Document all responses and inquiries in medical information databases. - Provide review of training material and patient support tools upon request. - Document all complaints related to the products and transfer the information to the appropriate departments for follow up. - Provide prompt and accurate information to requests for medical and safety information regarding assigned products from both internal and external customers on the company products, in conjunction with GDS, Medical, Regulatory, and Library Services. - Support training for appropriate medical information dissemination to Medical and Sales Department.
Specific knowledge
"DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:-MSc, BSc (Pharmacy) with 2 years of relevant experience-Pharmaceutical industry experience, clinical research and drug safety would be an asset-Knowledge of the Canadian Pharmaceutical Industry in relation to Advertising (i.e. PAAB code) and Rx&D code of conduct-Strong computer skills/literacy in Microsoft Packages, documentation research and internet databases-Strong interpersonal and communication skills together with negotiation skills -Ability to manage multiple issues and ensure optimal information dissemination-Fluency in English and French "
