Medical Science Liaison (MSL)

Job Summary :
This Medical Science Liaison (MSL) will have the responsibility to develop and maintain professional relationships with prominent healthcare providers and key decision makers as they relate to the company products. The candidate in this position will prepare and give presentations of medical/clinical, health economics and outcomes research data on products to healthcare professionals, including individual physicians, researchers, managed markets, medical and pharmacy directors, hospital decision makers, formulary committees, consultant pharmacists, state Medicaid decision makers, and others. The impact that a MSL will have to the organization include the following:
a) as representatives of the company, a MSL will communicate key information about , the company and its hhc (human health care) mission;
b) provide key scientific and clinical information about company products; provide a conduit for communication between the company Research and the medical community regarding ideas for future research.
c) support Government Access, Marketing and Sales teams by providing the scientific rationale for use of therapies. Provide in-depth scientific, clinical and educational support for the sales team and other internal stakeholders.
Specific knowledge
Must Have :
A post-graduate degree in medical/biosciences (e.g M.D., PhD, PharmD)
An independent self-starter with the ability to work effectively both alone and with cross-functional teams
Strong broad based scientific and pharmaceutical knowledge as well as excellent presentation and teaching skills
Strong overall written and verbal communication skills.
Must have knowledge and experience with several therapeutic areas; comfortable and confident speaking about multiple drug indications/multiple therapeutic areas
Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience or disease state management knowledge in Oncology as well as MSL experience.
