Sales Representative – Medical
Description
This role is responsible for sales and opportunity management of the assigned portfolio, to Hospital accounts, within the Atlantic Region. The focus of this role is account management, qualification & development of strategies to close sales opportunities of key products offerings and services. The Account Manager is accountable for the execution of the go-to-market strategy, the delivery of sales targets, and ensuring positive customer relationships. More specifically the Sales representative will:
- Develop and implement strategic plans by working with members of the sales, marketing and clinical teams as well as maximize 3S, HealthPro, Medbuy, and hospital contracts within the assigned territory
- Manage and negotiate product validations, product conversions, and sustainability plans
- Translate the strategic marketing and regional sales plans into account-specific plans by leveraging the product value propositions to achieve targeted sales and growth
- Work closely with BD Medical and Sales Teams to provide clinical end users with technical and best practice solutions
- Establish and develop strong relationships with key decision makers and committees within the hospital.
- Become the customer subject matter expert
- Lead account planning initiatives (forecasting, funnel management, regional strategic planning calls)
- Uncover and provide competitive information and market insight
- Market intelligence: market surveys, communicate competitor intelligence
Specific knowledge
- Excellent communications skills both written and verbally
- Proven ability to build strong Customer Relationships
- Strong Presentation and influencing skills
- Ability to manage a complex Sales Environment including managing multiple projects
- Strong business acumen coupled with a high level analytical capability
- College/University degree or diploma (in sciences an asset)
- Medical sales experience. 2 or more years.
- MSc and/or MBA would be considered an asset
