Sales Representative, Medical Equipment

Our client is a Leader in the respiratory market for more than 40 years with the development of a unique product for use in critical care. They now offer a broad range of innovative products. In total, their products are sold in more than 100 countries. They support their customers with sales and marketing operations located in 30 countries. The client invests a significant proportion of their headquarter based workforce in clinical research, product and process development.
They are currently seeking for a sales professional to represent their Hospital product line (consumables and capital equipments).
You will be responsible for calling on current and prospective hospitals in Respiratory department, trauma centers as well as ICU and emergency departments in South Western Ontario mainly.

Responsibilities:
Develop sales and territory management plans in conjunction with the sales manager in order to ensure resources are focused to achieve maximum market impact
• Build relationships with key physician representatives and conduct individual or joint visits to build relationships with existing and prospective customers, and introduce customer products and therapy approaches and their benefits to create demand for products
• Install equipment for clinical trials, educate hospital employees, and remedy any issues or problems in order to ensure acceptance of products
• Interact with hospital regulatory, compliance, and technical departments to ensure all compliance barriers are overcome when necessary
• Install products and train and support hospital employees to ensure customer satisfaction and correct use of product
• Provide post sales education, trouble shooting, and complaint resolution to promote early identification of customer issues, ensure correct use of equipment, drive consumable sales, and ensure customer satisfaction
• Attend trade shows and conventions to provide information and education about the products and their uses to build relationships with distributors
• Prepare management reports to advise management on progress against the sales plan, evaluate market conditions and identify competitor activity, and to demonstrate proper territory management
Specific knowledge
Education and Experience Requirements:
• 3+ years’ sales experience
• Proven track record of success, in Business-to-Business Sales
• Hospital medical device experience is preferred
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Outstanding communication, presentation, and territory management skills
• Must live in Southwestern Ontario corridor
• Willing to travel up to 6-8 days/month
