Description

Technical Support and Application Specialist (based in Montreal or Toronto) Our client a leader in microbiology is looking to fill a new position in Montreal or Toronto. Following their expansion they are looking for a Clinical Specialist whose main responsibilities will be to teach and train clinical labs peoples on the applications of the various microbiology testing systems. You will also act has a technical expert and trainer for the Canadian sales force. General Duties and Responsibilities: • Coordinates and executes customer trainings. Provides training assessment and evaluation follow-up. Conducts service/advanced troubleshooting training for specific customers. • Performs connectivity program installation projects and provides regular feedbacks on assigned projects until completion. Remotely performs 1st level troubleshooting of Quality Control software programs and customer training as required. • Assists Business Managers at conventions or at customer location with product demonstrations and presentations, and adapts content to specific audiences. • Provides support on all products/systems for customers and company personnel, as required. • Performs periodic customer visits to insure customers are exploiting the full potential of their products and prevent product miss-use. • Produces technical memos / reports regarding the resolution of technical problems. • Reports competitive activity and changing market conditions within assigned territory which may have a direct impact on sales. • Reports field activities and submits required documentation on all reporting requirements as designated by and to the Service Manager. • Attends/participates in service meetings and training sessions. • Attends workshops and seminars to further product knowledge. Organization Relationships Interacts with: Technical Service personnel, Field Service personnel, Sales and Marketing departments, Customer Services and distribution within the company, as well as customers.

Specific knowledge

"Professional Background:We are looking for the best candidate in the Montreal or Toronto area with a B.Sc., M.Sc., R.T or A.R.T. in microbiology/immunology/biochemistry/clinical chemistry and experience in the clinical laboratory environment, research laboratory or with a Diagnostic company. The ideal candidate must be fluent in French and English, both oral and written, have good interpersonal skills, is capable of working independently and as a team and must be willing to travel (Approx 60%) across Canada. Knowledge of HPLC systems and/or autoimmune testing would be an asset.
