Vice President, Business Development and Alliance Management

A very fast growing Canadian company is looking for a Vice President, Business Development (Licensing) and Alliances Management. The company has ujst launched a very innovative product. The position is based in the U.S. Eastern region. The company offers a competitive compensation package and a great environment. In this role you will need:
- Deep and thorough products and markets understanding, assessment and positioning
- Day to day and strategic input on Alliance management of existing licenses and Joint Ventures of International scope
- Market access plan and positioning (barriers to entry, opportunities, positioning e.g. reimbursement, regulations, etc)
- Creation and updating of detailed financial models and projections by indications /products (markets and penetration, sales projections and valuation scenarios)
- Business development plan, strategy and targets
- Prospection of and negotiation with potential partners
- Prepare readiness of the Company for due diligence and other transaction related requirements
- Visibility of the Company at partnering meetings and conferences and market intelligence
Specific knowledge
Bachelor’s degree in Business or Sciences.
Knowledge of International pharmaceutical and medical markets
Excellent communications and presentation skills
Knowledge and experience in alliance / product management and partnering commercial transactions (Licensing, Partnerships and M&A)
Over 10 years of experience in commercial and business development in a pharmaceutical and or medical
Ability to interface with both technical, science and business personnel
Energetic and enthusiastic self-starter with a desire to make a significant contribution.
Flexible and able to travel as needed to attend conferences, and for meetings and business prospects
