Manager, Medical Informations

A pharmaceutical company based in Toronto is looking for a Medical Information Manager . He ( she ) will  have the responsibility to provide balanced, evaluated information and advice on the clinical use of medicines to professionals and patients. The MIM provides communication with the clinical department and provides leadership and management to the medical information department. The MIM will be responsible for checking advertising and promotional material as well as having a role in monitoring drug safety.

  Also he (she) will research and report medical information to the medical and marketing & sales departments, Develop the Medical Information database and working practices, answer medical and pharmaceutical questions from internal and external parties, support of various department by means of advice and information via relevant sources, stay up to date with medical and pharmaceutical information, create and maintain internal and external advice system through an optimal information distribution and support.

Responsibilities will be Medical Information 60%, Drug Safety 20% and Support to Internal customers 20%.

This position is based in Toronto.

You have a Master or a Ph.D in pharmacology, physiology or biochemistry or pharmacy . You have in-depth knowledge of Respiratory diseases and experience of Medical Information in a pharmaceutical organisation.  Bilingualism English-French will be an asset. You must be service oriented , flexible and proactive towards changing clients' needs, must have excellent questioning and listening skills with ability to analyse responses, be open and clear communicator. and have analytical expertise in understanding complex issues and their consequences.
