This european company is new in Canada. They have high specialty products in CNS. The functions are the following: To provide medical information and develop relationships with medical leaders, institutions and associations through peer-to-peer interactions. To facilitate and provide support clinical research, including phase III, IIIb, and IV sponsored research and investigator-initiated studies. To provide appropriate scientific/medical support for commercialization efforts, including training/developing speakers, ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: • Acquire, develop and maintain in-depth scientific knowledge of company products and related therapeutic areas • Establish relationships with key opinion leaders (national, regional, and local) • Follow up with and assist health professionals interested in sponsored clinical research (phase III, IIIb, or IV studies) or investigator-initiated studies • Develop relationships with and train speakers • Provide medical information services, including responses to unsolicited requests • Coordinate the development of medical education programs, including speaker programs, symposia and community meetings for all related healthcare professionals • Build advocacy which supports the formulary process to ensure unrestricted access to the company products at target managed market accounts (both governmental and commercial) • Collect and communicate information concerning emerging standards of care and competitive product strategies • Attend and participate in key Professional Society meetings to represent the company • Prepare the market for new product introductions • Communicate with future Regional Managers and Sales Specialists regarding the scientific activities initiated in their area • Provide support for training, including Sales training • Work on projects and special assignments as identified by the Director or Manager of the Immunology Team
Specific knowledge
"Education: Ideally - MD, PharmD, or PhD (in a scientific discipline) At least 1 year of MSL experience strongly preferredExperience in CNS is preferredSpecific Skills:Demonstrate scientific knowledge, excellent communication skills (written, verbal, presentations), ability to manage rather large geographic territory. Self-directed, strong interpersonal skills and team player spirit. Highly motivated."
