Description

Our client is a privately held U.S. company based in Boston, focused on the development and commercialization of medical devices for the oncology sector. With the favorable response from US and Global markets, the company launched in Canada last year and is now looking to expand their promotion of this novel technology.  The product is Health Canada approved and holds a class III medical device license.

Reporting to the Canadian General Manager, the Senior Account Manager - Quebec & Atlantic,  will be responsible to lead the efforts to expand commercialization of the company product line within cancer centres.

This is a unique opportunity to be an integral part of building the Canadian business by driving adoption of an important advancement in radiation oncology.

In this role, you will:

 

  • Identify new customers
  • Qualify and setup new accounts, ensuring they have proper equipment and facilities.
  • Build and execute a provincial funding strategic plan.
  • Train new appliers via the Company’s certification process.
  • Maintain training and customer service with existing customers.
  • Report complaints/adverse events

 

Specific knowledge

Education:

Undergraduate degree in disciplines that align with or supports corporate direction and the intended therapeutic areas is preferred.

Experience:

  • Three (3) years’ experience in the medical/surgical field.(mandatory)
  • Three (3) years’ experience in instructing surgeons on the use of new and novel treatments across all major surgical disciplines.
  • Oncology or urology medical device experience preferred.
  • Managerial and decision-making experience preferred but not mandatory

 

Knowledge/Skill:

  • Willingness to travel extensively within the Quebec province and occasionnally across Canada for the first year (approx.) being the first sales employee in Canada
  • Knowledge of working in surgical and clinical environments.
  • Knowledge of rules and regulations associated with healthcare compliance.
  • Self-driven and result oriented approach to critically assess new medical technologies.
  • Ability to quickly assimilate and understand physician/clinical needs and interpret those in the context of the corporate direction, objectives, and strategies to develop new products.
  • Bilinguism (French & English)
