Description

Specialty Sales Representative - Responsible for promoting assigned products to residents, hospital pharmacists and other health care professionals in teaching hospitals and major community hospitals. Implement CHE events and support CHE efforts for Medical Sales Representatives. Responsibilities 1. Achieves territorial sales goals and objectives by effectively presenting, communicating and selling company products to health care professionals and ancillary personnel. 2. Identifies business plan opportunities through territorial, regional and national implementation of tactics in alignment with corporate strategies. 3. Executes the marketing program and POA strategy to ensure a consistent company sales and marketing message (including specific communication messaging, call and CHE contact frequencies).  Manages all aspects of the territory business through efficient and cost effective analysis and planning. 5. Assists Specialist Sales Manager with attainment of regional goals and provides support to regional team members as required, including participation in training at Sales Meetings. 6. Provides assistance in the execution of regional Continuing Health Education events through planning, implementation and related support functions as required. 7. Represents and accompanies key customers to medical meetings, conventions, seminars, speaker programs, displays, journal clubs and other similar and appropriate functions (may include occasional distance travel on evenings and weekends). 8. Maintains strong working relationships with sales representatives and co-promotion partner representatives. 9. Responsible for promptly reporting any knowledge/information of adverse events involving a product, to the client Canada Drug Safety Group directly within 24 hours.

Specific knowledge

Qualifications 1. University degree (Science or Business preferred) 2. Minimum of 2 years experience as a Medical Sales Representative with superior medical/product knowledge 3. Successful completion of CCPE Accreditation course 4. Strong communication, presentation, analytical, interpersonal and team skills 5. Ability to analyze and execute a business plan with identified major accounts 6. Strong project management and multi-tasking skills 7. Self motivated and results oriented with excellent time management and organizational skills 8. Experience in the diabetes and hypertension therapeutic area would be definite assets 9. Strong working knowledge of computer programs (Seibel, MS Office, and Outlook etc.)
